5 out of 5 stars Greatest book I've ever read   July 8, 2006
Master Ihor' book is full of fine details as well as deep insights. If you are studying martial arts, this book will be a great help for you.

5 out of 5 stars Rymaruk Sensei   February 14, 2006

This book by Rymaruk sensei really details and explains about as much as can be described through words and pictures when it comes to Uechi/Shohei-ryu. This man is a Vietnam veteran and a very experienced Sensei who has trained on the island of Okinawa with many of the top masters in this style. He does a fantastic job of relaying the style to readers through his accounts and demonstrations. This book is a winner and as in martial arts where there are no short cuts this book also takes no short cuts in it's delivery of knowledge to the reader.

5 out of 5 stars Best kept secret in Uechi-Ryu   February 19, 2005

This book is easy to read, and the pictures are so easy to follow. I like to bring my book to class with me to use as a guide when I'm doing kyu kumite. I enjoyed the pen self defense section, and found the legal section to be very informative. Every student should own one. I highly recommend it.

Master Ihor's book is quite comprehensive. It provides both a history of the style and detailed instructions on how to perform it. The photographs are done well and are helpful.
