Perfect for those Long winter nights! October 28, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
With the contributors below there is something for everyone.
I bought this book because I saw that two of my favorite author's, Karin Kallmaker and Therese Szymanski, had new short stories included. I was delighted to see that the book included an extended list of fabulous writers. A special treat was to read a short story by Tee Corinne that I had not read before.
A bonus are the poetry selections, and at 240 pages this is a book that will last a long time in the reading.
Writers - Karin Kallmaker Therese A. Szymanski Tee Corinne Nicola Griffith Barbara Johnson Barbara Hammer Patrick Califia Victoria A. Brownworth Fiona Zedde Hop Wechsler Caroline Shields Toni Brown Tia H. Mayo Sarah M. Granlund F. K. Valerie Ta'Shia Asanti Diane DeKelb-Rittenhouse L. J. Nieves Sharon Wachsler
The only things missing for me are author bios that would lead a reader to more titles by the contributors, and I would have greatly enjoyed a lengthy introduction by the esteemed editor Victoria Brownworth.
This is a keeper.
