Product Description
What do women really want? To be sensually seduced or pressed up against the wall for a quickie? To be tantalized by a peep show or the chance to join the mile high club?
Acclaimed erotica writer and editor Rachel Kramer Bussel knows: They want it all. They want to be worshiped, ordered around, sent blindly into ecstasy, and made hot in front of a mirror. They want strangers bearing ice cubes on a hot day and to be the party favor passed around among guests. They want sex at the office and in the great outdoors and on trains and airplanes. They want sex with the whole United States of America (or, at least, part of it). They want to be wooed, seduced, flirted with, taken. They want to handpick their lovers and make them do their bidding. They want men, women, and sometimes both at the same time.
In Dirty Girls, the country's best erotic writers explore their sexual psyches. With contributions from Carol Queen, Alison Tyler, Sofia Quintero, Shanna Germain, Lillian Ann Slugocki, Tsaurah Litzky, and many others, this collection will set your heart racing as you savor these intimate, shocking, and passionate female fantasies.

brazen, intelligent, and yes, dirty, dirty, dirty. October 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was very excited to get this book in the mail, because I knew that everything Rachel Kramer Bussel has her hand in (bad choice of words?)turns out to be something that makes me feel good about being a (brazen, intelligent) woman-- or, in this case, a dirty girl.
The content and tone in these stories vary wildly, and delightfully so- from Melissa Gira's lyrical and complex "A Prayer to be Made Cocksure," or Rachel's deftly naughty (and HOT) story about two strangers meeting in a deli on a sweltering New York City afternoon.
What I love about this book is it has something I wish all erotica would strive for-- moments of truth and depth and real vulnerability, without sacrificing that "make you wanna stick your hand down your pants' factor.
Reading Dirty Girls makes me feel good about sex and eager to celebrate it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a similar experience. But take my advice and be careful about reading it on the subway, because it will have you squirming in your seat.
Sizzlingly Brilliant July 10, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
All of these stories are fantastic sexual fantasies of pure pleasure and although titled as 'Erotica for Women', it turned my (approaching middle age) husband into a rampaging sex god, whose performance was better than any Hollywood hunk. We have been blissfully exploring the sexual benefits of erotic literature recently and have also enjoyed and received great sexual benefit from Best Women's Erotica 2008 and the brilliant 100 Percent Erotica What more can I say but sizzlingly brilliant, as you would expect from these writers, who are giants of the world of erotic writing. Go to it kids.
This book lives up to its promise! June 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
An expert editor has gathered a brilliantly eclectic assortment of striking, breathtaking, inventively conceived and sexually supercharged work from some of the most talented and acclaimed female erotica authors ... and the anthology that has resulted is everything one would hope: in short, a collection of erotic masterpieces that is itself a masterpiece.
And speaking as a heterosexual male reader, I say to others in my demographic: Do NOT let the tagline "Erotica for Women" cause you to miss out on this.
Oh, well..... May 17, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
This author/editor gets rave reviews on amazon, but I was very disappointed. There were about three or four stories that I really liked, that I thought were both well done and very sexy. The others irritated me in various ways. Very often I felt the writers were trying too hard, either (or both) to be erotic and to be well written. Well, kudos for trying I guess. But then, everyone's got different taste, so what didn't do it for me may be fantastic for someone else. A bunch of short stories--I guess it's a crapshoot, you can't always win.
It's good--real good! May 12, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Very rarely do you come across something this book in a book of erotica. There were a lot of stories that were hot but didn't read the exact same way. I hope there is a follow-up to this one! I also liked and would suggest Sex Scenes: Erotica Excerpts from the Novels of Kim Corum.
