A book for Everyone ! February 8, 2008 Whether you feel you struggle from personal issues relating to LSE, you will find this book well worth the time it takes (it's a very easy read) to complete. If you don't discover "you", I can guarantee you will recognize behaviors (and be able to assign meaning) you have experienced among others in your life. It explains so much of the "crap" we all seem to (some more than others, and still some for a lifetime) endure. At times, it may seem repetitive, but that is becasue the author realizes people must read similar evidence/passages several times before their brains will not dismiss the information but assimilate into their memory. By this, she does us all a favor. Don't miss an opportunity to read this book and enjoy the learning experience, and perhaps, the change, it will bring to your life.
Helpful and Inspirational May 19, 2007 I have read many self help books over the years and I have found this book to be practical, encouraging, insightful, and interesting. Like the others who commented, I could relate to many of the scenerios that were presented and I found myself highlighting most of the book. It has been 2 weeks since I began reading this and I already feel a little stronger and confident. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who struggles with low self-esteem and the workbook is very, very beneficial at applying the author's comments. (Make sure you get the workbook).
The only negative of this book is that I wish it were longer! I just did not want it to end!

As I read this book, I found that it all lined up with what I myself was experiencing and what I had noticed in others. In order to solve a problem, you have to understand what the problem is and this book does that.

Hope for the Future May 23, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Dr. Sorensen's book was written as if she wrote it just for me. The examples given were so similar to my own experiences. Now I know why I've struggled in so many areas of my life and what the underlying cause is. But the best thing is that I'm learning what I can do to overcome low self-esteem and that gives me hope for the future. I applaud Dr. Sorensen's work.
