Product Description
When Jenny Humphrey confessed to a crime she didn't commit-starting the rampant fire that burned down Miller Farm-she thought her life at elite Waverly Academy was over. But her last-minute escape from expulsion made her the most talked-about girl in school. What nobody knows is who saved her. Now at the annual Halloween masquerade ball, Jenny has a plan to unveil her secret admirer.

Callie Vernon knows who her Prince Charming is: Easy Walsh. But when he discovered she and Tinsley Carmichael tried to get Jenny kicked out, Easy dumped her on the spot. Now Callie is dressing up as Cinderella in hopes of winning back his heart. Can she convince him she's the one before the clock strikes midnight? Or will her glass slipper-and her heart-be permanently broken?

Everyone wants a fairytale ending. But there can only be one It Girl.

The sixth scandalous novel in the New York Times bestselling series about the naughty hijinx at an elite East Coast boarding school.

5 out of 5 stars Fabulous Cliff-Hanger   July 18, 2008
At the end of the book, you'll be flipping through it again- wishing there was more. By far the best in the series!

5 out of 5 stars Courtesy of Teens Read Too   July 3, 2008
TEMPTED begins exactly where the last book, LUCKY, left off.

In the beginning of this novel, Callie Vernon is relentlessly lusting after Easy Walsh. The only thing stopping her from having Easy is the fact that he can't stand her. After he found out that she and Tinsley Carmichael tried to get Jenny Humphrey expelled, he wanted nothing to do with her. Callie knows that Easy is her prince. As the annual Halloween Ball approaches, Callie must decide on the most fabulous costume that will convince Easy that he is the one for her.

Meanwhile, Jenny has become something of a legend around campus. There aren't many people who can escape being expelled like she did. But who is her mystery savior? Someone spent thousands of dollars to make sure that she stayed at Waverly, but who?

Overall, this novel was amazing. Cecily von Ziegesar has created yet another spectacularly-written addition to the IT GIRL series. It was almost impossible to put this book down. It was suspenseful and interesting all at the same time. If you are a fan of any of the IT GIRL novels, this book will not disappoint you!

5 out of 5 stars Great!   July 2, 2008
I like the it girl series much more than gossip girl and the a list because the characters are much more real and the situations, though sometimes a little stretched, are fun to read. Tempted did not disappoint and I will continue to read this series!

2 out of 5 stars Tempted...more like Terrible!   June 25, 2008
The latest installment of this formerly fun series is horrid. HOW many times can Callie and Easy and Brett and Jeremiah break up and get back together? The characters with their relationships are too intense for 16 year olds. Really, Callie ends up in rehab to get over Easy? Heath Ferro was a great comedic character but in an effort to show his 'sensitive side' he becomes totally lame although I did like Brandon a bit more. Ziegasar used to be good at writing male dialogue, but there's just no way guys would talk to each other like they do here. There's just no way. Indeed, the best character was Tinsley, who always keeps it interesting. Ziegesar should be embarrassed by this book, but it's still going to be a best seller, and I'm still going to read the next one.

4 out of 5 stars it was alright   June 11, 2008

I've been a fan of the It Girl series since it first came out, and while I've never thought they were great (its hard to like them too much because I really don't like Jenny, and the series is based on her) I still enjoy them, but the series is slowly starting to go downhill, as if the author is starting to run out of the ideas.

Basic plot:

Jenny, the most annoying character of the series, is still the irritating good girl, who always manages to get away with everything, and continues to climb the popularity ladder, rising above even Tinsley in this book. Tinsley (my favorite character) is still steaming over the fact that Julian threw her away in favor of Jenny, and is even more hurt when he snubs her at the Halloween ball. You also see her downfall in this book, as her friends ignore her in favor of Jenny, and even go so far as to ignore her invite to a movie night that she plans. Callie and Easy break up yet again (surprise surprise) and in order to get away for a while, she runs off to what she thinks is a spa, at the suggestion of her mom, but the spa really turns out to be a rehab center. Brett and Jeremiah also break up yet again (gasp! What a shocker) and supposedly this time its for good. Brandon starts dating Sage Francis, and Heath and Kara break up, and afterward you get to see Heath's vulnerable, sensitive side for once, since he is actually upset about the break-up. Easy becomes a bit of an alcoholic as he deals with his break-up over Callie, and eventually realizes he made a big mistake when he dissed her at the dance, and once again becomes her knight in shining armor toward the end of the book. Jenny and Tinsley team up, as they go on a mission to save Callie from rehab, and predictably they still hate eachother at the beginning of their roadtrip, but start to actually kind of like eachother afterwards.

All in all, it is an enjoyable read, just a little bit too predictable and slow at some parts. And although definitely not the best of the series, I do recommend that you read it if you are a fan of the It Girl books.
