It's good. July 24, 2008 It is has a very extensive picture guide but appears to be incomplete. I found pills the other day that couldn't be identified with the book.
Great Book--must have June 20, 2008 Excellent information to keep up on the latest prescription drugs. We had an older edition and purchased a more up to date edition. We refer to it often for ouselves, family and friends. We have been alerted to drug side effects even before the physician could recognize or diagnose. We are not one's to be taking a lot of prescription drugs, but it is almost innevitable in this pill crazy world we live in. This book is a must have.
20 years of using this book June 8, 2008 I have been using this resource for the past 20+ years, always getting the updated version when it comes out. I find the information on prescription drugs to be very comprehensive and understandable. The Pill Book (13th Edition) (Pill Book)
Larger format May 30, 2008 The larger format of the new edition is Great! So much easier to read. We use this book many times a week at our assisted living facility. JL
practical & important help March 16, 2008 My daughter, then age 12, got the shingles, a disease usually reserved for older people. I didn't know what it was, but she was in quite a bit of distress. It was Memorial Day Weekend, and I had to take her to a walk-in clinic, the only place around that was open. They prescribed an anti-viral. When we got home, I looked it up in this book. It said that the drug was not approved for children. On Tuesday, I called her pediatrician, who agreed with the book & substituted a different medications. I was glad that I had the book and the information. Otherwise, who knows if I even would have called her doctor?
