Product Description Kids ask the darndest questionsand the answers make for a funny and fascinating(Publishers Weekly) book.
Wendell Jamiesons son, Dean, has always had a penchant for asking odd questions. Dad, what would hurt moregetting run over by a car, or getting stung by a jellyfish? Dad, why do policemen like donuts? Dad, does Mona Lisa wear shoes? Because Dad is a newspaperman and city editor for The New York Times, he decided to seek out the real answers to Deans questions from top expertsmovie directors and ship captains, brain surgeons and stabbing victims, a Buddhist monk and a bra fitter, and even Yoko Ono. Their father-son journey for answers to the toughand weirdquestions of life is a sometimes surprising, often hilarious, and always fascinating celebration of the value and beauty of childlike curiosity.

A great book to read with your kids June 30, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great book to read with your kids, even if they have not yet started to ask all kinds of questions.
I really liked to read about how this man used this book to take the time and really answer all kinds of questions that came from his son little mind and from other kids like him.
It's a great gift for a father or mother of a toddler...If they can find the time to read it all!
Nice book and the answers to kids' questions are intended for adults February 14, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is a very pleasant read. As a new father, I am pretty sure my kids will ask similar "tough" questions in the near future. And thus the book is important. It provides examples on how to seriously answers children's questions. The answers in this book, however, are intended for adults. How to translate the answers to kids are totally up to the parents.
There are several passages between the Q&A part that are boring (as lots of previous reviewers mentioned). But others are well written, and I love to read.
Great for everyone!!! January 1, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ordered this book for my husband for Christmas after my sister-in-law told me about it. Everryone has enjoyed this book from my husband, myself, to our single friends. It is a great triva book as well. Anyone of just about any age could and would enjoy this wook.
Questions December 31, 2007 I bought this for my husband...plus I wanted to read it also! Great for anyone who has a child that likes to ask many questions. My husband has enjoyed reading this...I am looking forward to reading it myself.

Very funny book; very true to life; I can remember asking and answering many of the same & similar questions as a son 7 father. I think any Dad would get a kick out of receiving this book.
