Incomplete but with some uses June 10, 2008 Not the best book by Cunningham I've ever read. While it gives some interesting ideas the encyclopedia is incomplete. It might be useful as a stepping stone but not as a definitive source of information (but isn't that why you want an encyclopedia). The most important thing to remember (that occured to me after buying this book and disagreeing with most of his associations with the stones) is that no one can tell you how an herb or stone or whatever is going to aid you. You have to work with them and discover for yourself. This book could encourage cookie cutter magic and spiritual laziness. I do enjoy the book for the thorough research he has done on the the folklore of the stones and as a starting point for making my own. Cunningham is a good author, he just can't deliver in this instance.

Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Crystal, Gem & Metal Magic April 29, 2008 I was pretty disappointed with this book. While there is some information in it, I found it to be lacking. There are SO many stones with SO many uses. I had hoped that more would have been covered. Also the book had few pictures. I would not recommend this book.
Crystal, Gem and Metal Magic February 20, 2008 This is a very good book for all who are interested in this topic. I purchased this book to replace a very dogearred copy.
Great Information January 27, 2008 This is the best information on Metal magick I have found anywhere. With the addition of Crystals and Gems, it gave detailed info that I had been trying to find for sometime. Pictures in this book along with clear wording makes it simple to understand yet not in a child like manner. Thanks to Scott for creating this great book to add to your library! We will surely miss him.
