An important apologetic for the God/ Animal connection August 10, 2008 This month I noticed Job 4:11 for the first time. God scolds Jonah for his lack of compassion for the people of Ninevah and all their animals. All their animals? Where did that come from? Then my wife received this book as a gift and I devoured it. At a time when extremists deny the "order of creation" making animals equal to humans and when traditional Christian dogma is strangely silent on the subject, Susan Bulanda stepped up to the plate. In my opinion, she nailed her points with logical arguments from Scripture and references to anecdotal evidence that every pet owner can identify with. It is well worth reading.
An enthralling look at a topic most often left out of Christian teachings August 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Humanity is God's children, but what of the countless other creatures that inhabit the earth? "God's Creatures: A Biblical View of Animals" is a look at the animal kingdom's relationship with God's Kingdom. Chapters discuss animals in the afterlife, the spirituality of animals, the use of animals by humanity and God, and more. An enthralling look at a topic most often left out of Christian teachings, highly recommended.
Animals In God's Plan August 6, 2008 God's Creatures--A Biblical View of Animals, by Susan Bulanda, provides a fascinating stroll through the Bible as the author unearths nuggets of wisdom concerning the final fate of all animals. This book is for anyone who has ever been parted from a beloved pet and who has wondered how God views animals and their final destiny. Susan presents a systematic approach to interpreting the Biblical passages as she builds her arguments that allow her to support her premise. From the Garden of Eden, to Baalam and his donkey and then to Noah's Ark, the reader will understand the subtle inferences made in the Bible that explain God's infinite wisdom. The creation of animals in Genesis, predating the creation of man, and the initial distinction between wild and domesticated animals launches the book. Chapters that follow provide Biblical documentation and careful analysis that accompany each point she makes. Susan differentiates between soul and spirit when addressing the characteristics of man and beast and creates a logical explanation that fits nicely with God's plan.
The author draws upon her expertise as an animal trainer and behaviorist as well as her Christian faith, to search for the answers. Her final conclusions give a satisfying interpretation that can be easily understood by anyone who has ever loved a domestic pet or marveled at the intricate facets of the world of wild animals. This is a book that answers so many of the questions that have been posed for so long. It is a timely and necessary book that touches on a subject few authors have addressed and one that is a credit to the author's skills as a researcher and analyst.

A "Must Read" for all pet owners! July 28, 2008 Susan Bulanda has researched, compiled, and presented an excellent review of the role of animals throughout humanity. This book attempts to answer so many questions with which all pet owners seem to struggle. Susan presents a thorough examination of animal references in the Bible. Her conclusions, based on research, are logical, straight-forward, and presented in an easy-to-read format. Her interpretations are inspiring and consoling, especially to people who have recently lost their best animal friend. When I hear dogs, coyotes, or wolves howling I now know they are communicating. Their communication is most probably beyond the scope of communicating with each other. After reading Susan's book, I now see these animals as creatures created by God, loved by God, and understood by God. Quite possibly, they are communicating with God.
If you are a pet lover, read this book!
A Must Read for Animal Lovers Who also Love God's Word July 20, 2008 Sue Bulanda's love for animals and God's Word overflows in her book, God's Creatures A Biblical View of Animals. Then you want to read it again and share it with all your friends who cherish their pets and God's Word.
