Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
A soul-stirring story of two college friends who reconnect after 20 years. One is living life apart from God in comfortable corporate America, while the other is living for Christ under intense persecution in China. This challenging book will convict the heart of readers to live in the light of eternity.

5 out of 5 stars Real Persecution   October 13, 2008
Don't read this book if you have any fantasies about how good China is treating Christians (or any other religious groups for that matter.) This tale only gives us a glimpse of how Christians fare in this country. The story line opens our eyes to the facts in China and greater truths through Ben as a powerful business man finds there is more to life than making money.

Ray Ruppert, Author of "The Sovereign Reigns, or Does He?" "The Sovereign's Last Battle" and "Revelation: A Layperson's Reflections"

5 out of 5 stars Fictional Apologia   October 9, 2008
I've owned this book for more than three years and finally read it in the last couple of weeks. What I was waiting for I am not sure but I waited too long. It forms an excellent presentation of the Gospel that saves men's souls!

Safely home is full of Scripture and scriptural principles and you may enjoy it for the adventure but you will also prosper spiritually by reading it.

Reading Safely Home also gives one a great perspective on the life of the persecuted church in China and around the world. For more on the persecuted church, check out www.persecution.com .

5 out of 5 stars Excellent   September 18, 2008
thanks, I am enjoying the story of Safely Home...book arrived in good condition. My how we take our Christianity freedom for granted..Pray for China..that's how I heard about the book, by wearing my rubber bracelet..pray for china.

5 out of 5 stars Best Christian Fiction Book Ever   September 18, 2008
This book is a beautiful story of God's love for his martyrs. I'm not an emotional person, but I found myself crying at different parts of the book...great read.

5 out of 5 stars Randy Alcorn has become one of my favorite authors of Christian Fiction!   August 12, 2008

I can't imagine this book failing to put a burden,on the hearts of all who read it,at least for prayer, for all the Christians who are being persecuted(often in horrifying ways)around the world.

I also couldn't help thinking maybe such persecution here, is exactly what it will take to destroy all the 'false doctrine- Prosperity Preaching' churches, and the appalling apathy of many Christians here in America!

This book grabbed me from the beginning and never let go until the end.Would love to see this made into a movie.

An amazing, eye and heart-opening book. May God continue to bless Randy Alcorn, and continue to use him to further His Kingdom.
