Leadership does not always equal the strength of your faith October 19, 2004 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I was very excited to get this book for the president of my school's Student Council where I am the sponsor. When I received it, I flipped through it and was immediately taken aback by the continuous references to Jesus, God, and faith. I believe in God; that isn't the problem. The problem is: 1. I wanted to use this book as a teaching tool in a school. Separation of church and state, hello? and 2. I wouldn't have bought this book if, in the review or summary, there had been any mention of religion. This book was for a student, not a family member. Can all you teachers out there just imagine the impending lawsuits? So, if you want a book to show the relationship between leadership and Christainity, then this is definitely the book for you.
Wonderful! September 15, 2003 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have read this book and think it is a great resource for becoming a leader. If you buy this book you should also buy the teacher edition if you're doing this as a youth group.
