Buy this for your MAN (big or little) June 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Women, read this book first (you'll get a lot out of it!) and then ask your father, husband, son, or friend to read it and share afterward what he thinks. You, too, can be an evangelist with this great book :) Don't forget to pray for Father and all priests!
Great gift November 23, 2007 I bought this as a gift for a young man who is deeply religious and an avid outdoorsman. He has thoroughly enjoyed the book.

This book was not your typical book but I found it really interesting. Definately relateable.
He's a priest who can relate to REAL people November 16, 2006 14 out of 16 found this review helpful
If you've ever had what some people call a "mountain top" experience like Christ Renews or Cursillo, then you will relate to many of these stories. Once your eyes are open to God's work in nature, the world is a whole new place.
Although I'm not a hunter (and don't aspire to be,) I do hike and camp, and was delighted to learn that other people see the world as I have in some of my favorite nature moments. I am also grateful to read about a healthy vocation, though he doesn't pretend it's easy.
While I was reading this book, I stopped many times to discuss something I had read...it also inspired many pages of journaling. This book gave me the vicarious thrill of being outside in nature, though it has been a couple of years since I last camped.
