What a wonderful book! We're planning a trip from San Francisco to Seattle and the information in this book is not only detailed, the GPS waypoints make the routing very, very simple.

Douglass is the victim of his own excellence. I have used his cruising books for Puget Sound, BC, and Alaska and have found them superb. This one is not quite in the same league.
An annoying nit is that it includes a lot of page fillers, such as suggested routes to Alaska (reproduced from his Alaskan guide), even though they have nothing to do with the topic at hand.
Still, this is the best cruising guide for covering the west coast.
