| Customer Reviews:
The new Bible about Intraoperative monitoring August 7, 2008 I have been involved in intraoperative monitoring for 20+ years and I have almost any textbook in the field including Dr. Nuwer's original work from 1986 and its second edition from 2000. This new volume is by far the best book published ever about IOM. It has almost 1000 pages devoted to the field. Each chapter is written by a well known authority. The first section covers basic science aspects to understand the generation of electro-physiologic signals and the anatomic structures involved. Then it follows a detailed description of ALL the techniques currently available. The last part covers the different types of surgical procedures where IOM may be needed. No matter which level in the field you are you will find new and useful information in this amazing book. Thanks to Dr. Nuwer, to the IFCN and to the series editors Dr. Daube and Dr. Mauguire for putting this wonderful amount of information altogether.
