Product Description The 7th Edition is now vibrantly colored, with hundreds-of-pages of updated diagrams, tables, charts and illustrations. The book is also colorfully tabbed to make flipping around from chapter to chapter effortless. All this packaged into a unique pocket-sized, six-ring binder. There is a reason that this blue book has been the #1 selling respiratory care pocket guide for well over 20 years now. Chapters include Patient Assessment, Cardiovascular Dynamics, Pulmonary Dynamics, Respiratory Procedures (extensive!), Pharmacology (newly designed and totally updated), Equations, Respiratory Diseases (fully updated and expanded), CPR, and more. Students love the fingertip access to the extensive information, particularly when in clinical situations where quick recall is vital, as well as when studying for the CRT and RRT exams. Respiratory Therapists, nurses and other allied health professionals love this book because, let s face it, you just can t remember everything. It is the perfect resource to have at your side, assuring that you provide standardized, competent care free of liabilities. Pertinent AARC Clinical Practice Guidelines have been summarized in colorful format, with clear markings in each chapters table of contents indicating CPGs. This book is amazingly thorough, incredibly accurate, and extremely affordable. Whether it s your first copy ever, or your still using your copy from the early 80s, we think you will be very pleased with the 7th edition.

Good book May 31, 2008 A must for all respiratory therapists, sleep tech and the nurses who work with respiratory related illness.
Hide this one! May 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great little pocket guide, although it needs to be updated. My only suggestion is hide it in your locker at the end of your shift or it is GUARANTEED TO DISAPPEAR!!!!
Pockect Guide for RTs, ALL U NEED TO KNOW! May 24, 2008 This book is EXCELLANT!! It is very easy to read & contains a complete, condensed "stock-pile" of the basics of Respiratory Therapy. It's great!! I recently returned to the Respiratory workforce, after taking a "sabatical" of approximately 8 years. This little book helped me to review what I needed to function in the field of RT. It's nice & compact for easy carrying and has valuable info needed to complete a days work!!
Old School May 20, 2008 This book contains the information needed by anyone who want to be a quality Respiratory Care Practitioner. I spent several years gathering this information in a hand written pocket notebook and I still did not have the scope and breadth of this pocket tome.
If you want to be good you need this book.

A Lifesaver!!! December 28, 2007 This little blue book has become my best friend in the past few weeks while I'm attending my clinicals. It has also proven helpful with my studies, I use this guide practically everyday in class. I highly recommend this for Respiratory Students, it cuts your study time in half.
