Essential Guide for every parent and teacher February 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a wonderful resource for parents and teachers. It will help them identify vision problems in their children which seriously interfere with learning to read, processing visual information, doing mathematics, and playing sports. The book is packed with up to date information, research from the field of behavioral optometry, and is written so clearly that it is an easy bedtime read. Every parent and teacher should own a copy. If the schools knew about the research in this book they would be moving heaven and earth to have behavioral optometrists in every school to help the students be ready to learn.
Awesome book! October 22, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the most clearly written book that I have ever read on an education or health topic. It will change many lives if people use the information available here. Every school should have a copy. Every parent with a child that is having learing problems, going nearsighted, or coping on the autism spectrum should have a copy. The book explains these problems and how to prevent and treat them utilizing behavioral optometry. This little known field stands poised to revolutionize education and health in the coming years. Particularly, the chapter "The Seven Home Habits for Raising a Visually Successful Child" contains helpful tips for every parent. Everyone that I know who has read this book has loved it.
