Very Helpful November 12, 2008 I bought this book about a week before I got my horse, and it gave me a much better understanding of how horses work and how to work with them. Although the information can be a bit repetitive for those who already know the basics about working with and around horses, there are little details added that were really helpful to me when I got my horse. I recommend it to any age group, whether looking to purchase a horse or wanting to learn more about them.
Highly Recommended September 23, 2008 This is great for a person that is a first time horse owner. When I found out we were getting a horse I bought this and it helped me prepare and get what was needed to care for our horse.

Awesome Book! January 14, 2008 I have always had an interest in horses. Recently I decided to dive in and start learning about the horse from the hoofs to the ears before starting lessons and buying a horse. This book was so fun to read and easy to understand. I loved the colored inserts, icons and photos diagrams. It has helped me understand what to expect and what I need to do to prepare myself...Get it, I know you will be glad you did! :)
Horses For Dummies December 14, 2007 We just purchased our first horse, & this book is great! It covers all the areas that we have questions about, and it is in an easy to read format.
