Secrets of My Hollywood Life: On Location is yet another light and fun chick-lit read. Much like the first novel, we revisit the glamours life of Kaitlin Burke and of course someone is out to make her career bomb! The Hollywood secrets continue to be one of my favorite aspects of the book. I think that I would have enjoyed the book more had the plot not reminded me so much of the first book. I'd like to see Kaitlin deal with real issues, besides those revolving around someone sabotaging her career. However, I did enjoy the second installment and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Kaitlin Burke is supposed to be spending her summer filming the hot new movie 'The Untitled Hutch Adams Project', something she's been totally looking forward to. That is, until she meets whose been hired to play the villain. Her arch nemesis, Sky. Can't she at least have a break from her Family Affairs co-star for even a few weeks? But then things go from bad to worse, when PR decides the best buzz for the movie is if she fake dates her ex-boyfriend and co-star Drew. Can she manage that and keep her relationship with new boyfriend and Hollywood outsider Austin?
Hands down my favorite book of the series so far, SECRETS OF MY HOLLYWOOD LIFE ON LOCATION has Kate dealing with more than ever. Her new relationship with Austin is threatened by her Hollywood status, not too mention all the time she's being forced to spend with her ex; someone's leaking stories about her to the tabloids and even her assistant Nadine and her best friend who she hired for the summer can't seem to get along. Not too mention, the famed director isn't what she expected.
My absolute favorite part of the book is when Kate and Sky end up losing their cool with each other during a session to choreograph the final fight sequence and end up fighting each other for real.
It's no secret how Jen Calonita knows the inside scoop on young Hollywood. Over the past eight years, as a Senior Entertainment Editor at Teen People, and an entertainment journalist for Entertainment Weekly, Glamour and Marie Claire, Jen has interviewed everyone from Lindsay Lohan to Ashton Kutcher. She lives in New York with her husband Mike, son Tyler and their Chihuahua, Captain Jack Sparrow.

I am 14 years old and this is one of the most amazing book I have every read. I love the plot and the characters are are so realistic. I love the fact that it has real facts about hollywood. It kept me reading untill I got to the end. It was so amazing I had to buy the next book the same day! you really need to have read the first book (Secrets of my hollywood life)to understand parts. just as good as the first!! A great book!! :)

Jen Calonita does a wonderful job creating Kailtin's journey for the second time! I could not stop reading this book! I recommend this book to anyone and everyone! Yet another fine job by Jen Calonita!!! I can't wait for more!
