Product Description
With a life of its own, 'Left Out' uses sports to help its characters learn about life: Molly, the tough competitor who hates to lose; Rosie, the shy kid who deals with the pressure of a parent; Penny, the athlete who is the coolest kid in the neighborhood; Angel, the oldest Ballplayer who tries to juggle two sports at the same time; Wil, a bright student who loves sports but has to deal with more and more time on the bench. Delving into other issues, including friendship, relationships with parents, gender stereotypes, and social status, this book shows what sports and life are all about.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars A great book!   August 22, 2000

Although I am not a baseball fan, I really enjoyed reading about a girl who found the strength to make her dreams come true, no matter how hard it was. I am very excited that an author has taken the time to write sports books for girls. Read this book, I am positive that you will enjoy this book and the others in the Broadway Ballplayers series.

5 out of 5 stars This is the perfect book for anyone who likes sports.   July 18, 1999
I read this book a couple of months ago for the first time and have read it about 5 million times since! Seriously, this book really made me think about and appreciate what I have. I really got into the book and am overjoyed at finding that I can get them all here! Even boys will like this funny book. Anyone else who doesn't love it is nuts! Go M. Holohan!
