Healing Truth May 11, 2008 I love ALL John G Lake's Books. He is an inspiration to me! This book was another blessing. Read it to boost your faith and understanding of God's truth about healing.
Excellent book January 17, 2008 Nothing like facing the difficulties of this present age with a little help from those who have gone before us. John G. Lake's sermons took me back to the basics of faith. Great reading (and practicing). Keep a highlighter handy.
I Love This Book! Can't Reccommend It Highly Enough. February 5, 2006 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I thank GOD for it, for Mr. Lake's strong commitment as a Christian and shining example for all Christians to follow. Just as Paul said, "...follow me, as I follow Christ." Teaches GOD still heals today. As a minister for The LORD, John G. Lake healed thousands and thousands of sick people, even those whom doctors had deemed 'terminally ill' and without hope. So many people were healed in his ministry, people from all over the world came to be healed, and Lake's ministry was so blessed by God that while based in Spokane, Washington, the city was documented by the United States Government as "...the healthiest city in the world...." Chapters: 1)How God gave me the healing ministry & sent me to Africa 2)Dominion of a Christian 3)The Value of a Covenant with GOD 4)Not Try but Trust 5)Specific & Definite Grounds for Healing 6)Hezekiah's Sickness and Healing 7)The Tangibility of the Spirit 8)Naaman and the Man of GOD 9)Consecration, Testing, Power, Victory 10)The Brazen Serpent 11)The Grace of Divine Healing 12)The Law of Life and Law of Death 13)The Integrity of GOD's People 14)These Signs Shall Follow 15)Lake's Reply to Four Questions Concerning Healing Through the years GOD has led me to loan this book out. I always have...but I have been blessed so by this book and Lake's great faith inspires me so I always was OVERJOYED when it finally came back to me! :) Be blessed yourself. Get a copy. And you, too, will anxiously await it's return when GOD has you loan it out!
Faith In Action February 18, 2004 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
John G. Lake's ministry was a shining example of faith in action.Lake's successful prescription for healing can be found in THE JOHN G. LAKE SERMONS. His habit of repeating the principles of his teaching makes the book fairly easy to understand. Lake continuously stresses that the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus can keep us free from disease. He considers Divine Healing to be a matter of faith and the Grace of God. The Spirit of God is as tangible as electricity and is available to all who accept Jesus Christ as personal lord and healer. It is more important to trust in God than it is to try to get a healing. According to Lake, healings were numerous during the first four centuries of the church before the reign of Emperor Constantine. The gifts of the Holy Spirit were revived during the reformation because of Martin Luther's influence and his emphasis on faith.
Found elsewhere. April 19, 2003 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
If you're just looking for a light sample of Brother Lake's messages, this is the book for you. However, if you'd like something more substantial, I highly recommend "John G. Lake: The Complete Collection of His Life Teachings" by Roberts Liardon (Compiler). For little more than what you'll pay for this, you can get a 1000+ page volume of nearly everything ever transcribed for or written by Brother Lake. This book is a classic, however, it's touched so many, long before Liardon compiled his volume, and I prefer to have a copy in my library. You will, too.
