Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars What a great read   July 30, 2004
I remember reviewing this book when it was published. I worked at Talk Radio UK and Jon May came in to the studio to talk about his change of life - he was, I think, a teacher before becoming a diver medic. It is such a great read and would translate into a great film - I passed on my copy to a film-maker friend but I wish I'd kept it! I'd love to read it again. He talks about, as the title suggests, Piper Alpha and other disasters he was called to. He also writes about pirates on the high seas and a curious medical problem caused by a goat... I'd love to meet Jon May again. Wonder what he's doing now. I hope the book gets republished.
