Product Description Meet Denver, a man raised under plantation-style slavery in Louisiana in the 1960s; a man who escaped, hopping a train to wander, homeless, for eighteen years on the streets of Dallas, Texas. No longer a slave, Denver's life was still hopeless-until God moved. First came a godly woman who prayed, listened, and obeyed. And then came her husband, Ron, an international arts dealer at home in a world of Armani-suited millionaires. And then they all came together. But slavery takes many forms. Deborah discovers that she has cancer. In the face of possible death, she charges her husband to rescue Denver. Who will be saved, and who will be lost? What is the future for these unlikely three? What is God doing? Same Kind of Different As Me is the emotional tale of their story: a telling of pain and laughter, doubt and tears, dug out between the bondages of this earth and the free possibility of heaven. No reader or listener will ever forget it.

You'll see how we lose out for judging others so quickly, no matter their race, social status or gender! SAME KIND OF DIFFERENT AS ME is the true story of Ron Hall, a wealthy art dealer, his precious wife Debbie Hall and Denver Moore, a homeless man who never had a chance in life--not even a chance to go to school. They meet up when Ron's wife Debbie begs him to join her in volunteering at a homeless shelter. My oh my, we all have so much to learn. Ever think God was a respecter of persons? Good Read, Great Story August 18, 2008 If you have ever wanted to make a difference in the world, read this book. I found it so encouraging to know that there are still people in our society that take Christianity seriously. I have always believed that Christians are called to love all mankind through charity (love), hope, and faith. We are not called to judge, God is our judge. This story demonstrates how the smallest act of kindness can make the biggest differences in others' lives. I have purchased a copy for two young men who are serving time in prison, that I know personally. I hope that the message in the book encourages them and that they can make the difference in the lives they touch, in such a racially charged environment. I am encouraged. Thank you for publishing this book.
Inspirational and more August 10, 2008 The story is one every American should read. It shares a part of our history that is painfully sad with a beautifully written, true story. God's love and grace are so evident in every page.
One of those must reads for everyone.
