Old time info - nothing new November 8, 2008 I like to read books about walking from time to time because it renews my dedication and gives me new incentives. This book was too long, too wordy, too much information. In fact, it seems to be a very OLD book like it might have been written 45 years ago (but it wasn't!). If you want a short book FULL of incentive try WALK YOURSELF THIN by David A. Rives or 10,000 STEPS A DAY to your optimal weight by Greg Isaacs. Both are full of valuable hints, tips & solid reasons why you should be walking each day, seven days a week.
The ins and outs of walking February 23, 2001 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This college textbook is a concise but comprehensive guide to starting a walking program. The book highlights everything you should know about walking. The writing flows nicely and is easy to follow. The topics are reinforced by diagrams and photographs in every chapter. The books give a complete overview of how walking can lead to total health and wellness.
