Sturdy, attractive travel companion!!! June 24, 2008 I was in need of a new "Travel Journal" and this filled the bill for my needs. It has a very sturdy cover.........it is spiral bound (I like that because one can fold the journal in half and write easily on your lap)my last one was spiral bound..........it has faint lines to help guide your writing(didn't have lines in last one and journal entries got a little messy looking at times)...........the pockets in the back are good for pictures, as is suggested, but one can put other things in them too............meds info, ticket stubs....?????whatever????? The size is good also.......and the occasional quotes about traveling are fun to read.
I DO NOT want to be guided by someone else's idea's as to what goes into my journal, or as to how many pages are allowed for each day. In this journal, I am free to write of my adventures in anyway I choose. Can't wait to use it!!!!!
excellent gift for travelers! May 9, 2008 I will now need to get one for myself; the 2 I bought were gifts
Nice looking, but... April 20, 2008 I was looking for a journal for my young grandson to use while in Europe. While this journal is nice looking, it has two drawbacks for me. First of all the spiral binding extends too far past the book and adds extra bulk in packing. Second, the writing lines are so close together that it is difficult for a third-grader to use.
a great travel companion August 26, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
i've used my traveler's journal for nearly 6 years. it's sturdy, not too big or bulky to stuff in my backpack and has withstood wear and tear remarkably well. i love the wiro binding and the sleeves in the back are great for holding photos and ticket stubs from my travels. the pages are lined very lightly, so you can write and follow the lines or disregard and do what you want. the quotes scattered throughtout the book and the simple drawings at the top of each page are an added bonus. it's my favorite of all journals.
Not much more than a notebook March 12, 2007 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have bought travel journals before, and this one is alot less than what I expected. No titled pages for hotels, restaurants or expenses...just blank pages with lines to write on. Like I said, just a notebook with a pretty title. Not recommended.
