Very good book on Sport Flying November 7, 2007 This is a really good basic overview of the new Light Sport category of airplanes. The book covered most aspects of how to become a proficient pilot with additional references. It was worth the price and time time spent reading.
Loved this book May 22, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
If you have any interest in learning how to fly with the new sport pilot regs, this is your book. It tells you what you can fly, where you can fly and how to fly. I would suggest that you get a sectional chart (your local airport with a place to buy gas or hanger airplanes or the FAA), get the book and dream.
Clear and concise. May 12, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This book provides a good overview of what sport pilot is and how it applies to its three catagories.
The sport pilot rule makes flying affordable! April 1, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
A good primer on how the FAA's new sport pilot rule/light sport aircraft makes learning to fly easier and more affordable than ever before.
First book on sport pilot certificate! February 19, 2005 16 out of 20 found this review helpful
I'm the primary author of THE COMPLETE IDIOT'S GUIDE TO SPORT FLYING. Anticipating the dramatic changes to general aviation coming from the new FAA sport pilot and light-sport aircraft rules, I teamed up with one of the best flight instructors available to thoroughly research and present what the novice needs to know about getting into the new field of sport flying. It will get you off the ground and into the friendly skies in less time and for less money. The new rules took effect Sept. 1, 2004 and you can take advantage of them now!
