Boat Docking by Katherine Redmond July 7, 2008 For people new to boating (and experienced pilots) needing some assistance with boat docking, this book will be extremely helpful. Ms. Redmond does a great job in describing and illustrating docking techniques in various weather conditions. She emphasizes practice and patience. Well worth the money and time involved in gaining experience with docking techniques.
Simple and effective March 14, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought a 20 foot powerboat for the first time in my life at the age of 48. I had never been in one earlier, ever. With no lessons, no coaching, no guidance from anyone, just this book and another one, I jumped in was on my way. This book is a gem for absolute novices like me.
Great book for both experienced and novice boaters July 30, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Even though I have been boating for years, I was still able to learn a few new techniques that has helped handling our larger boat. The diagrams and text were easy to follow and understand.
Very informative February 20, 2007 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
Cant wait for the ice to melt so that I can apply the lessons hands-on.
