Waterproof, tear proof, color contour maps offer detailed route descriptions

The 740-mile water trail links the watersheds of northern New York, Vermont, Quebec, New Hampshire, and Maine, following Native American travel routes through the rivers of this region. The Northern Forest Canoe Trail is more than just the longest inland recreational paddling trail in the Northeast. It is a living reminder of our history, where rivers were both highways and routes of communication. Each map offers extensive human and natural history information, illustrated with color photographs.

This season introduces the first 4 of 13 maps that will guide paddlers on this spectacular new water byway. Maps 1 and 2 in the series illustrate the trail's initial sections in New York's West and Central Adirondacks. Maps 12 and 13 trace the routes ending sections in the Allagash region of northern Maine. Maps for the remaining sections will be introduced in each of the next 3 seasons until the entire trail series is complete.

I love the NFCT and this is a map of a great section within it.
