I read every guide book on Maui that my library had to offer. I bought the two most helpful to me. This book is pretty good but it doesn't compare to MAUI REVEALED 4th edition. That book is stellar. That author isn't afraid to tell you which companies and which beaches to stay away from and why. This book sounds a lot like a brochure where every review is rosy. With these two books I was able to plan our trip right down to the doing nothing days. With two kids you need a plan. Since they have different takes on Maui and all that it has to offer it was worth getting both. Maui Revealed: The Ultimate Guidebook (Maui Revealed)

Well organized, by location and by subject. Easy to follow; concise. Excellent travel planner resource.
