Another very cute story October 14, 2006 We truly love the 'bears' in our house and this book, as the title indicates, talks about the cubs' experience going to camp. After looking forward to summer vacation, after only a couple of days, they become bored and ask Mama if they can try Grizzly Bob's Cub Camp. So, off they go, skeptical but still ready to try it and by the fourth day, both of them are thrilled with their choice. They continue to have fun throughout ths summer at camp, which culminates in a scary overnight stay on top of Skull Rock. They were apprehensive at first, but by the end of the summer, they are so thrilled with their experience that going to school will seem like a vacation, according to Sister. This is just another very nice story in a long line of the Berenstain Bears series and we just adore these books in our house. This one is no different. Highly recommend!

I really liked this story because it was good.I like the part where brother and sister bear wanted to go to camp and they thought it was fun and they got there and the first day sister did not like it and then the second day brother did not like it and then the third day sister and brother bear liked it and then they have the best time in there life there and at the end sister said when we go back to school it will be like a vaction and I liked it because of that and I think that the berenstain bears books are awesome and they are so much fun to read and I like doing book reviews on the berenstain bears books and it is so much fun just to write about what you think the story is like and you get to rate the book and that is why I like doing this so much and I love the berestain bears books because it shows that you need to take responsiblity in your own hands and not cause troubles and wine to any body just try not to cause a big problem. I just love seeing how they change at the end and at the beging they have a problem. thats all I had to say. p.s. I love BERENSTAIN BEAR BOOKS and they are awesome!!!!!!!!!!
The Bears Go to Camp September 8, 2004 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Bears go to camp! What fun! We've gone camping in the woods several times this summer, and my 3 year old daughter has been fascinated by this book, particularly the overnight adventure. She has identified with their camp adventures very closely.
The Berenstain Bears GO TO CAMP September 26, 2003 The Berenstain Bears GO TO CAMP was a good book. It was about how the cubs wanted to go to a camp because they were bored, but at first they didn't want to go. The sister cub didn't like the idea very much only because she didn't want to spend overnight outside. The brother cub was curios about what "fully supervised" meant. This book taught a good lesson about how you shouldn't turn things down until you try them. At first the cubs didn't want to go but then they tried it and found out they actually liked it. The age level of this book is pretty much all ages. Parents can read this book to their children or young kids can read it on their own. I think this book was a good book and I enjoyed reading it.
Excellent primer for first-time camp experience July 1, 2002 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Each summer, thousands of kids go off to camp for the first time. Naturally, it can be a scary experience (for both parents and kids alike!), but thanks to the Berenstain Bears, we can breath a little bit easier - sharing this book can definitely help to ease some of the pre-camp jitters. In the story, Mama and Papa sign up Brother and Sister Bear for a week-long summer day camp. The cubs aren't too excited about going away every day and worry about everything from making friends to encounters with strange insects and animals. The book also does something helpful for kids going away to sleep-over camps: the daycamp for Brother and Sister culminates in a hike and sleepout on the final night, which will help to appease some of the fears of kids who are scared of spending a night or series of nights away from home. In the end, Brother and Sister realize that camp is an excellent way to spend part of the summer, and can't wait to go back next year to play fun, new games, and see the many new friends they have made. "The Berenstain Bears Go To Camp" is a worthwhile addition to your Berenstain Bears library and highly recommended for kids who may be going off to camp or spending time away from home for the first time.
