The perfect 1st communion gift April 27, 2008 this was the perfect 1st communion gift for my sports-minded nephew. Great stories, interesting factoids, a great message that's not at all too heavy. We all enjoyed reading the stories...from the ones on sportmanship, to coaching matters, to giving it your best, nicknames, etc. Very relevant, entertaining and easy to read.
Interesting and Inspirational April 13, 2007 This is one of the best kids' devotionals I have seen. My 9-year old ASKS to have devotions at night and we both find the material interesting and challenging. Pre-teen boys is a tough audience, but Dave Brannon got it right!

Dave Branon did an excellent job writing this book for children to help them connect sports with God. Too many times the emphasis is place on the sports player and not on the One who blessed them with their athletic gift.My son was eager to get his hands on this book after hearing about it.... Make an investment in your sports child's life. This book will help them to focus on God first as they compete in whatever sport they enjoy.
