Casting Call August 20, 2006 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
When they made this book into the movie of the same name, I was curious as anything to see who they would pick to play Frank, and who they would pick to play Joe.
Imagine my surprise when they selected a youngish Kevin Costner for the part, and then switch the scene drastically to setting this in the U.S. Navy.
But it does not end there. Since Kevin then had so much star power, they actually got rid of Joe Hardy altogether and did with Kevin Costner to play just Frank. Was it because Kevin demanded too much money?
The Hardy Boys In Nova Scotia October 2, 2004 As the story opens, we find Frank and Joe in Nova Scotia attending the opening celebration of a new lawn maze and the associated medieval games. Someone is sabotaging the maze and the games. Then the owner of the maze disappears! It's up to the Hardy Boys to find the missing owner and solve the mystery of the ghost of the maze! This is a pretty good story, not among the best but enjoyable nonetheless.
The Hardys in Idaho. August 4, 2000 This is your average Hardy Boys book. This time the reader learns a little about the sport of orienteering. I enjoyed this book.
No Way Out ( Hardy Boys Casefiles, No 75) July 19, 2000 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Franklin W. Dixon does it again with a book full of mystery and intrigue. This book rates an A+! The Hardy boys bravely face danger, jump headlong into action and have their best adventure yet. Frank and Joe go to the mountains to learn the wilderness sport of orienteering from an old friend, Rob Niles. However as the boys learn to blaze trails in the wilderness, they also find that someone is after Rob. They must find the person behind the attempts on Rob's life, before that person gets to Rob. Read 'No Way Out' and see Frank and Joe in their best mystery ever!
