satisfied... September 8, 2008 I mostly bought this book for an idea I had for a tattoo. Skateboarding was my life for many years. Now I'm older and I wanted to tribute so many of my best days as a kid through skateboarding in a tattoo sleeve. This book will be a GREAT tool for that!
Very good - thorough August 17, 2008 Enjoyed this book a lot. Great photos and stories from the folks who were there - focusing on mid to late eighties boards and companies. Interesting read about the industry at that time, when, for folks far removed in the midwest or other areas of the US that weren't Southern California or Florida, these boards simply seemed to appear by magic. Now, we see what was happening behind the scenes at that time.
If you were into skating order this August 15, 2008 Great book! My wife surprised me with this for Christmas last year, she was out of town on business and found a skateboard shop and asked them for advice, they sold her this. There are photos of old decks that go way back, it really brought back some memories. Best coffee table book ever.
Its tight July 2, 2008 Since ive loved skateboarding and art for many years, i was really glad to get my hands on this book. Sean Cliver outdid himself. I loved reading so many artists and skateboarders own views on the evolution of art in the skateboard industry. Definitely a must have.
Great Gift Idea December 31, 2007 I gave this book to my brother, an avid skateboarder, for Christmas and he loved it. He's not much of a reader, so the majority of it being pictures really appealed to him. If you're looking for a gift for the skateboarder in your family, I would recommend this.
