Great reference for Players and Parents January 26, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We heard Joe Hornback speak at a Juniors Day at University of Akron in 2006. The book recaps most of the points he made in person, plus adds some more relevent stories to illustrate how and why to be prepared throughout the recruiting process. My son just committed to play football for the Miami (Ohio) Redhawks on scholarship; and Joe's material was helpful to both of us. Our High School Freshman is reading it now!
Awesome - best describes it! January 9, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I would recommend this as a "must read" for every HS coach, parents of players, and the players as well. The reality of what you are up against as a recruit, is daunting, but this book approaches it like a scouting report on an upcoming opponent, breaks the entire process down into meaningful details, with the insight of someone that has been there, done that, and has got the T-shirt to prove it...
For any HS coach, player, or parent, that has read my comments and is not clicking the "add to cart" button now, I would like to add, yes, you will benefit from this, regardless of where you are in the process. My daughter played DI Volleyball, I played for a perenial power as a kid, know lots of players and coaches, and have a son that gets recruiting mail daily. Many of my friends thought that I knew a lot about recruiting and came to me with questions, now I do... Get this book, and you will too!
GOOD INVESTMENT January 5, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a very informative and helpful guide for high school athletes who want to play at the next level and are willing to put some work into seeking out the opportunity to do so.
