Opposites attract - it certainly is true in the case of two boys named Jonathan. Totally different in every way. One big and outgoing, the other small and quiet. Jonathan Colton Sherman had it all. A great family, popularity, and luck. Jonathan McBride (Johnny) had very little in comparison.
The one thing in common was their passion for baseball. Each Jonathan played first base for their high school team. Each team made it to the finals for the play off.
Johnny knew this was his only chance. Scouts would be at this game, and scholarships hung in the balance.
Outstanding players, the two Jonathans showed their abilities. And even though Johnnys team won the championship, both boys were picked. They would play for UCLA next season. The opposites became good friends.
Luck? Maybe, but sometimes luck runs out.
