Ok the book is only 50-odd pages long, and yes it does contain reference to Australian fish (since it was written in Australia) but this makes no difference to the actual informational content of the book. Whether it is Australian fis or American fish, your depth sounder will still show them the same. I just finished reading the book and think it is great value for money. It goes into detail on how to read your sounder display properly, talks about how various settings affect what you see from your sounder and which settings to use to maximise the sounders effect on your spotting fish, and catching them! The information is straight forward and to the point. There is no extended garble or waffle that is unrelated, hence its smaller word count, but for under $10 you can't go wrong. I have had much better success identifying targets since reading this book, and my sounder is now operating at its maximum efficiency. Well worth buying.

There were a couple of items I picked up from this book but overall I didn't think there was enough in it to warrant purchasing it. Many of the fish referred to in this book are from Australian waters.
