3 out of 5 stars Inaptly named   July 2, 2008
This book should be more correctly titled Nothing I Did Was My Fault. While parts of the book were enjoyable, for the most part it was all a diatribe as to why all his problems in life are the fault of "Whitey", the Government and the "Pigs". Apparently he himself had nothing to do with the bad choices made.

4 out of 5 stars Inside The Crips   March 16, 2008
This book was definitely a page turner. I think Colton Simpson overcame a lot. It's just to bad the system tries to hold him back after making improvements in his life. But he didn't let that get him down. Colton Simpson was a survivor who is trying to make it as a law abiding citizen. I would recommend this book.

5 out of 5 stars Inside The Crips   January 18, 2008
Colton Simpson takes the reader on an incrediable journey that opens the ghetto's and leads you into the heart of gang warfare. It is descriptive and heart-wrenching. The insight into the Californian Jail system is appaling. This book is a must read for those wanting to understand the African American street struggle.

1 out of 5 stars Not Good   October 26, 2007
Colton Simpson is a poor man's Monster Kody Scott. Read Monster if you want to read a real Crip Book.

5 out of 5 stars Great Book!!   August 12, 2007
I hardly read book, because I lose interest. But this book was very interesting and it gives you background to why people do what they do....it all goes back to the parents!!!
