Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Cathie Katz was born in California and has been a lover of horses and thoroughbred racing since she was very young. She became a devoted fan during her first visit to Santa Anita Ractrack, where the beauty of the sport, its color and passion grabbed her immediately. She has written articles for racing magazines, but the story of Barbaro's struggle inspired her to write her first book. Ms. Katz lives in Denver, Colorado, with her husband. They have two grown daughters.
