| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Clear, concise, and enlightening, this book introduces a unique perspective combing modern psychology, Buddhist wisdom, and professional golf instruction in order to master the mental game. Dr. Parent guides golfers with simple yet powerful techniques to prepare for, execute and respond to the results of any golf shot. By applying classic insights and stories from the Buddhist tradition to the challenges of golf, Zen Golf shows how to make one's mind an ally instead of an enemy: how to stay calm, clear the interference that leads to poor shots, and eliminate bad habits and mental mistakes.

Zen Golf Book September 1, 2010 Mark Bandy This is a nice book to help get you focused on your golf swing and lesson distractions. It appears to me that there is nothing in the world that we put as much thought in as the golf swing. And, the funny thing is that we can't properly hit a golf ball until we get our minds out of the swing. Dr Parents book is a good read and very helpful. Dr Parent did a nice job writing this book. I have an always been interested in golf, and I am trying to teach my friends not to overthink the swing.
The best I have read August 10, 2010 sonterra (san antonio tx) I have probably read a dozen books about the mental side of golf. Everything from Rotella to Prince's "Thought Free Gol" to Pia Nilsson's "Every shot must have purpose". All filled with great information. Zen Golf is the best.
In Depth August 7, 2010 RichC Dr Parent is not only a knowledgeable golfer, he understands the internal mental and emotional issues that make one successful. This book will help anyone's golf game that has any issues with stress or anxiety while on a golf course - especially during competition or moments of achieving a personal best. As a bonus, most all of his information applies equally well to other parts of a life. My advice is to read it with an open mind to self improvement.
A Really Good Golf Book July 30, 2010 Lance McWilliams Dr Parent got it right. I have an outside the box golf company, Zoom Boom Golf, and I am trying to teach people to get their minds out of the swing. It appears to me that there is nothing in the world that we put as much thought in as the golf swing. And, the funny thing is that we can't properly hit a golf ball until we get our minds out of the swing. Dr Parents book is a good read and very helpful.
