Benchclearing: Baseball's Greatest Fights and Riots
In a sports genre jammed with garbage product, this book stands out as a top shelf effort written by someone who clearly has both a passion for the game as well as the ability to express it in a writing style not only entertaining enough to keep you reading, but to also make you laugh at the ridiculousness and grit your teeth at the savagery of some of the many incidents included. Nothing better than reading an author that both knows his craft and his subject matter. Mr. Vrusho is just dat bum! And let's face it, I can read about Pedro flipping Zimmer out of the way over and again.
With baseball season just around the corner and Father's Day down the road, I can think of plenty of people who should be reading this unique and well written book. As they say in Spinal Tap, "...and it makes a swell gift, don't it?" ENJOY!
