5 out of 5 stars This works!   July 23, 2002
The author of this book and accompanying CD has perfectly filled a niche in the golf market. We've all got the swing & technique manuals but who stops to think how to mentally approach the game? I know I hadn't until I read this. Its no co-incidence that at the Open last weekend Els was hugging his psychologist after his win! A valuable addition to the golf library and worth every penny.

My husband Nicky bought me this book & CD as after plenty of lessons my swing & technique were great but I would get jittery and drop shots when I played with new partners. The tips Dr. Rubin suggests are inspired & informative. The fact that the book is in audio format also is an excellent idea; perfect to play on the way to the club; I've even played it before going to sleep in the hope the ideas sink in little more. Thanks Dr. Rubin, you've made my game more enjoyable!

The tips on the CD are like having three years of GOLF magazine tips available to me all the time.
It really helped me to have my choice to listen to the CD or read the information.I liekd the way it was packaged as a handbook and a CD.Lots of informative stuff.....

I received this CD from my golf partner. It has an excellent supply of tips and suggestions on how to mentally play and prepare. The CD is full of tips that I now use all the time when I play. I need remind myself it is very cool that I can put the CD on in the car and the booklet is small enough to fit in my golf bag. I recommend this to anyone who likes reading tips on how to improve their golf game.

2 out of 5 stars "Golf between the ears" with little in the book!   April 3, 2002

I bought this book as an Easter gift for my golfing Husbad and both he and I were very disappointed in the content. Factual points were given i.e. clear your mind before striking the ball BUT from a Psychologist we expected methods of how to do this. Everyone knows the fact - it is the operation of the instruction which is needed. Why put on audio exactly what is written in the book - not a book really just a pamphlet. NOT good value for money. I expected much more from a sports psychologist.
