An Excellent Introduction to Bowmaking! August 19, 2008 Jim Hamm, contributing author of the epic series The Bowyers Bible, put together an excellent resource for anyone interested in manufacturing their own bow. This book is filled with quality knowledge about bowmaking that makes this sometimes onerous task look easy. Primitive technologists beware...while this book will show you how to build a traditional bow, all of the tools and methodologies are (for the most part) based upon usage of modern implements. This book also includes a quality second half strictly devoted to arrowmaking. Again, his materials are all traditional but constructed with modern tools. I think Jim wrote this book and had it published before he got involved with The Bowyers Bible series. A must have, must read!!!
