| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The Large Print American Heritage Dictionary, Revised Edition, approved by the National Association for Visually Handicapped, is the ideal dictionary for those who need or prefer large print. Comprehensive and up to date, it has more than 35,000 definitions, with the most current meaning always given first. Features include pronunciations, syllable divisions, and inflected forms. A style guide explains the rules of punctuation. A handy reference section contains tables for weights and measures, metric conversions, and U.S. states. With large pages, generous margins, and a clear typeface, this is an excellent reference for anyone who requires an easy-to-read format.

Large print very nice August 4, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The large print of this dictionary is great and the format is nice. However, this is not an exhaustive source, for there are a lot of words that cannot be found within its pages.

I purchased this dictionary for my 94 year old mother who is an avid reader but must use large print. There remain very few words she doesn't know the meaning of but, even so, she uses a paperback dictionary with small print frequently.
While she was excited when she received The Large Print American Heritage Dictionary,it now collects dust on a shelf.
This dictionary is useful for seeing impaired children and adolescents but too narrowly defined for adults.
