Amateur Playhouse April 8, 2008 This video was extremely amateurish. The questions asked by the hostess Maria were lame, re-enforcing the stereotype that girls don't know squat about machines. She didn't do her homework. At one point in a motorcycle museum, the curator shows her a vintage Indian motorcycle and she responds with "What's an Indian?"
At the Rendezvous Rally held in upstate New York, the camera work is horrible. People walking in front of the camera as an interview is in progress. These folks obviously never heard of editing. While covering a fun motorcycle game called Potato in a Haystack, the camerawoman doesn't seem to be looking through the viewfinder as she gets better shots of the grass as she runs in and out to attempt to capture the action. My bet is there was much better video shot at this event by other amateurs than the "professionals" accomplished.
There is very little coverage of Daytona which is often referred to as the premier biker party and there is NO mention of Sturgis. There is footage of bikers in Russia that seems to be stock footage they found somewhere.
I'm giving this video 2 stars and I'm being kind because I like Maria's tattoos.
An insider's look at authentic motorcycle culture December 21, 2006 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Get beyond the biker stereotype of the leather-clad, long-haired he-man and his scantily clad female companion to see what the world of the American motorcycle is really like. Offering an insider's look at authentic motorcycle culture, this high-speed documentary introduces you to biker and chopper enthusiasts across the country who proudly share their most prized possessions -- their rides -- with the cameras.
