Creative Albums August 3, 2008
I was very impressed with the Creative Albums book. It had many fresh and cute ideas about making mini albums, which I enjoy making. It contained detailed information and pictures. I would highly recommend it to new or experienced 'scrappers'.

How fun is this book?? Donna D. will open your eyes to what a scrapbook is, and exactly how to create one from the ordinary and everyday items you find around your home. Forget about heading to the scrapbook store -- dig through your office supplies or the junk drawer instead! Inspiring.

Personally, I love Simple Scrapbooks Magazine and am a subscriber so it is no wonder that I made this purchase. What I love about Donna Downey's books is that they come with 25 fresh and different ideas for the same goal and they show step by step how to do it. I already own Photo Decor by Donna Downey and have used several ideas from that book. I have owned this book for about 3 weeks now and cannot wait to use it for ideas on this year's Christmas album. If you are new to scrapbooking this book is perfect because Downey gives you a list of the tools and materials needed before you ever peruse a project. She shows, with illustrations, just how to complete it with a tiny message on how she thought up the idea and brought it to fruition. If ever you wanted a book to give great ideas and to give you inspiration how to think outside the perverbial box, Donna Downey's are the ones to own.

I am so happy to have this book in my collection. It has so many great ideas and some techniques I hadn't ever tried. Donna has such a great style and she is such a great teacher. I also have Creative Journals which is great too!

I love all three of Donna Downey's books in this series! They include projects that I will complete! I refer to it over and over again, for projects and techniques. Projects are easily adaptable to supplies I have on hand. I would recommend this book to both beginners and advanced crafters.
