A most delightful book regarding all aspects of sexuality. August 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
In "Return of Desire", Dr. Gina Ogden delivers in an engaging, practical and witty style; wonderful possibilities for women to explore and broaden their sexuality. This book is a "must read for women" of all ages.
Unique, Fascinating and Practical Guide August 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Beyond, way beyond, genitally focused sexuality. The Return of Desire is everything you always wanted to know about sexuality but no one was telling you. And here, the tellers are the thousands of respondents to a survey that focused on the emotional and spiritual aspects of love, sensuality and sexuality. The results of Gina Ogden's ISIS Survey are shared and explored through practices, examples and commentary by those who took the survey and added their valuable insights and experiences. It takes a fresh, and very refreshing, look at Desire, especially for women. A must have for any seeker of love! Suzie Heumann, author: The Rules of Love, The 64 Arts of the Kama Sutra
Recommended for women: intimacy and self actualization August 17, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Gina Ogden, PHD, is a compassionate professional in sexual therapy. Here, her light really shines through if you are ripe for opening your heart to yourself. It's not so much about the physical but more about education and healing yourself. Awareness is brought (or returned) to a level that will make you prouder. In one of the exercises, I actually found tears rolling down my cheeks as I released a lot of emotional pain. That's an amazing level of understanding and it took her kind and warm way of expression and suggestion to have such a profound reaction.
Essential reading for the heart and for our spirits August 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is fabulous, easy to read and interesting enough to keep you focused to the end. I judge a book usually by being able to open it up at any point or part and be instantly captivated. This is such a book. It is also a book that gives us hope about ourselves regarding our sexuality. It is OK to be a sexual being, to express our sexuality in the manner that best suits our needs. Dr. Ogden leads the way to bring us back to a place where reconnecting with our sexual selves is easy, necessary and ultimately needed for our healing of our inner wounds and or fears that have hampered or affected our sexual expressions in some cases all our lives. It is OK to be who we are, it is OK to be a sexual being who loves to express that sexuality with our lovers or with our selves. That is the message this book gives and the gift you the reader will celebrate.
Wise, funny, and practical... August 7, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm really enjoying this book. One thing I find very refreshing about it is that it doesn't tell us how to be better lovers, or have better sex. Instead, it's a wise, funny, practical book that focuses on how we can set ourselves free to be exactly who we are, how we can accept ourselves and our sexuality unconditionally, and how we can befriend our own desires.
