Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Outstanding insight into the role of sports and politics   August 15, 2004
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

Dr Alegi provides a unique perspective into the role of sports (soccer) and politics in Africa through his own extensive education, research and the time he has spent in the country to observe the unique role that sport plays in African societies. If you are an African historian, sports historian or sports enthusiast, this book is a must read.

After reading this work I look forward to other books by Alegi in the future.
