More clever ideas July 12, 2008 Unusual additions to cards, and scrapbooks! Eye catching to say the least! Never knew how easy a pop up could be!!!!
My first Pop-Up book May 12, 2008 I became the shipment very quickly. The book is good for someone who never had make paper creations with pop-up techniques before.
not bad March 26, 2008 Nice book with lots of pictures. What it could use in my opinion is an explanation of the more complex or less common pop-up methods. Now I have to figure a lot out myself because it is not in the book.
I'm not tatally satisfied with this book and will definately need another one to complete the pop-up book i'm making.
Best Way to Learn to Design Pop-ups February 15, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
No, this book doesn't have luscious designs for you to copy & make.
What it does have that makes it a superior book on the subject are logical. easy to understand directions on how to design & make your own versions. This book also alerts you to problems that might appear if you ignore underlying structural mechanics.
Of the books I own on this subject, this one has been the springboard that has allowed me to design my own successful and creative pop-ups.
If you want to make someone else's designs, this isn't the book for you. If you want to express yourself using imaginative pop-ups that are your own designs -- and that work -- then I recommend this book!
Pop-up lover's dream January 7, 2008 Wonderful projects. I do wish the directions were a little clearer. Best for intermediate-to-advanced card makers.
