2 out of 5 stars You can do better   September 14, 2007

For the price, this is too simple and basic a book. It's limited in terms of a very few vendors and a limited number of car types primarilly pre-1940 hot rods. Sometimes it's almost like a protracted ad for "SO-CAL" products. You can get as good or better information and advice by looking through old issues of "Street Rodder" and "Hot Rod" magazines.

2 out of 5 stars not much of a reference book   May 23, 2007
Pretty limited info. Very little theory. Shows them building a few kits.
