This is a great format for listening to the NKJV Bible! The MP3s are organized in folders by book of the Bible. Inside each folder is an MP3 file for every chapter. As far as the technical issues referenced in other comments, I'm not experiencing any of them. The files are complete, the audio is clear, and the MP3s are well organized. I can only assume there is a later release of the product and I have the updated version. As far as the reading, the balance of substance and drama is great - not distracting at all. Price can't be beat for all you get!

It is the Bible so how can you go wrong. The pronunciation is great and everything is very easy to understand. I recommend the NKJV for the simple fact that you get the depth of the KJV but the easy reading, or in this case listening, of the NIV. Worth every penny, if you dive into the Bible your life will never be the same.

Well narrated and nicely arranged. The version I received did not have the problems noted by reviewers of earlier versions so it appears those technical glitches have been resolved.

Good quality audio CD.
Personaly I don't like the music and theater kinds of stuff on the background. Even sometimes the reading is at the background!

I loved this product so much when I got it last Christmas and so do my friends and family. I was disappointed to discover (the first day I used it) that several verses in the Book of Proverbs were missing. Several chapters in 2 Kings were missing as well. And that's what I was able to discover before I was put off.
I did not want to buy a replacement especially since I did not know of another like this one and I can easily transfer the mp3s onto my PDA and listen when I'm driving or when I'm not on the phone. Moreover, I love Thomas Nelson products.
Turns out that Thomas Nelson offered to replace my CDs and resend me a new set. They were made aware that the first printing of the product had defects. If your CDs are defective just contact them- they'll ask for some information and send you a replacement set.
I think it's worth the try.
