5 out of 5 stars Great book..loaded with information!   April 24, 2008
Although this book is not something you'd want to lug along on a camping trip, it's chocked full of interesting and helpful information. I loved it so much that I bought a copy for a couple friends of mine that love the outdoors. I will definitely be using this book for years to come and recommend it to anyone.

3 out of 5 stars good outdoor book   April 12, 2008
I gave only 3 stars for two reasons: too big to carry along and confusing text/pics in some parts.. Lots of info but I found different one I preffer. Now that's my observation, I'm sure this book will work well for others. I guess it all depends on what you are looking for. You will never know unless you read it yourself; unless you like to collect all survival books.

1 out of 5 stars Into the wilderness....   March 8, 2008

In my opinion this is a wilderness fluff book. Your much better off with anything by Bradford Angler or for that matter get yourself a copy of "The Complete Walker" or the SAS servival manual. Anything. I looked my copy over than donated it to the local public library. In the hope the if people had the chance to look at it first they would be able to make an informed decision. But on the positive side, It has some nice color.

5 out of 5 stars Camping and Wilderness Survival   December 31, 2007
This is a great book have had it for years. My husband loves this book, looks at it every summer when we camp. Purchased another one this year for my 11 yr. old grandson for Christmas, he too likes this book. Great book for any camper, or Boy Scouts.

5 out of 5 stars 15 year old loves it   December 19, 2007
I order this book for my son's scout master. The scout master wasn't at our last meeeting. My son took it from the gift bag and promply started reading the book. He can now find south using the moon and knows how long he can survive buried in an avalanche. We live in south Texas. Great book with more information than you would ever use. Scout master may have to wait til my sons book arrives.
